Many thanks to all Brethren and in particular to those of The Lord Roborough Lodge No. 5789 and those from the community who kindly sponsored this charity event.
It was indeed a long wet and very wet day in the saddle for me and after 4 hours and 50klm with two coffee stops over Dartmoor, starting at Yelverton through Tavistock up and over to Lydford, then return to Yelverton Golf Club for a welcomed rest and recovery.
I must thank the staff and friends who help in the fund raising through the Devonshire Virgin Active Health Club and I have an official web-site anyone can donate un until 1st June 2014: Total funds raised to date: £767.00.
All monies raised will go direct to A-T Society to help find a cure for this awful degenerative disease in children. The A-T Society will be 25 years old this year and they have not found a cure but they have made a major contribution to some amazing results.
The Trustee’s of the Masonic Samaritan Fund have agreed recently to fund in its entirety medical research at the Gurdon Institute in Cambridge over the next year and there findings will be published in due course
