The Plymouth Service Centre is based at Brunswick House, Holborn Street, Plymouth. They currently offer five specialist services to children and young people and their parent/carers, who have sadly experienced sexual abuse. They provide therapeutic work for children and young people who have been affected.
They range from 4 – 17 years and all work is delivered at the child’s pace and aims to be child focused and non-directive although several key themes are explored within the work.
They offer preventative, protective and recovery initiatives to young people ages of 11 – 19 years, who have been sexually exploited or who are vulnerable to this form of abuse. Plymouth Services is funded by voluntary contributions, it is not Government funded. The work that the volunteers’ carry out is extremely important to every child or young person who has been affected or may be at risk.
